Waitrose has made a donation to Countryside Classroom, allowing the site to “grow more quickly, reach more teachers sooner and expand the scope of resources available on the site.”
Tina Varns, Manager, Sustainability and Responsible Sourcing at Waitrose, said:
“We think it’s really important to encourage children to learn about where their food comes from, how it’s produced and the importance of seasonality. We hope our work with Countryside Classroom will help children to eat well and try a wider variety of foods, once they discover the interesting stories behind what’s on their plate.”
