Here are some of the forthcoming events organised by LEEF.

LEEF/TRAID workshop, Protect your winter wardrobe, Tell Your Moths Where To Go With TRAID’s Natural Origami Tea Bag, Thursday 11 February 2016, 6-9pm, TRAID shop Shepherd’s Bush. For once, we’re trying to decrease biodiversity (but only in our jumper drawers!). Join fellow LEEFers with a needle and thread for a networking/social evening with a difference.

LEEF training evening: Working with teenagers, Wednesday 24 February 2016, Stepney City farm. We’ve all experienced how tricky it can be to encourage secondary schools to engage in learning outside the classroom and we know that creating engaging and stimulating outdoors activities for young people can be challenging. At this LEEF evening training session Fiona Stone will call upon her considerable experience of working with teenage audiences to help us to overcome some of these obstacles. Fiona will be supported by Alex Collings from Stepney City Farm who will be contributing case studies from their recent project involving 14-21 year old NEETs and other vulnerable young people. LEEF Members: £15; Non-members £20. Booking essential. Please contact Beth on bbarber@wildlondon.org.uk for further details.

LEEF training afternoon: Faith and the environment, Friday 11 March 2016, 1.30-6pm, Westminister Abbey Education Centre. This training session will explore the links between faith, plants and the environment in several major world faiths. Discover how environmental educators of all faiths and none are using outdoors spaces to teach environmentalism, spirituality and religious education. The Abbey have also invited any interested LEEFers to attend evensong at 5pm on that day. LEEF members £25; Non-members £30. Booking essential. Please contact Beth on bbarber@wildlondon.org.uk for further details.

LEEF Bat Walk led by Dr Iain Boulton, Thursday 31 March, 7.45pm, Archbishop’s Park SE1. See www.LEEF.org.uk/events for further details.
