Blackmoor Copse near Salisbury, was the first nature reserve established by the Wiltshire Wildlife Trust back in 1962 when the Trust was first established. One of the ways in which this anniversary is being marked is by the publication each month of a video walk-through tour of a reserve, beginning with Blackmoor. You can see it here.
There’s no narration or conversation; no talking heads full of wisdom to pass on to us; no celebrities. And nothing to see except the copse. You hear footsteps and the sounds you’d expect in a winter wood.
Of course, it’s not the same as being there with those footsteps being your own, but then you’ve not travelled miles (by car of course) to get there. So, put it on full-screen, close the door and open your mind.
