ase_logoASE’s Midlands Conference is on Saturday 3rd March [9:00 to 12:45] at Derby University in the Kirtley Building, Kedleston Rd, Derby, DE22 1GB.  There will be a session on Practical approaches in Environmental Education by Lee Jowett who is Environmental Education Coordinator at Leicester City Council.

ASE says:

Lee will show you opportunities to use resources and activities which support environmental education in the classroom.  Activities can be tailored but could include looking at energy use for working with students, various campaigns, resources for science etc. Environmental education can be used engage all students – no matter gender, ethnicity or those who underachieve. Outdoor learning has been show to support pupil premium children.  You will take away handouts, useful resources, activities and ideas which can be used in lessons as well as develop whole school real life activities such as energy monitoring, wildlife and biodiversity.

The target audience is teachers of late KS1 to KS3 classes.
