Here’s NAEE President, Bill Scott, with some thoughts from his University of bath blog on the reception last Tuesday involving NAEE members and those from NAAEE in the USA, and the members of the Global Environmental Education Project steering committee:
The GEEP event last week ended with a reception at @Bristol hosted by the UK’s National Association for Environmental Education [NAEE].
It was a great success, and it was particularly pleasing to see NAEE members there. It was a good mix of people from Bristol and district (NGOs, local government, teachers, university staff and students) together with the international members from the GEEP steering committee.
It was particularly good that, Shyang-Yun Cheng (pictured left), the Deputy Representative from the Taipei Representative Office in the UK came down from London. He proved to be an enthusiast for NAEE, NAAEE, GEEP, and the UK!
There was a splendid presentation from the admirable Judy Braus, Executive Director of NAAEE, (pictured below) with help from both the Taiwan and USA Environmental Protection Agencies.
The explanation of GEEP was so comprehensive that no one had any questions.
