Thriving Together – The NAAEE 2023 Conference Call for Presentations Is now open with a submission deadline of May 5th.  The key dates are: Annual Conference (October 18–20) and Annual Research Symposium (October 12).  The theme for this year’s virtual event is “Together We Thrive”.  You can learn more and submit proposals here.

Trash free Trails – Spring is the ideal time to get outside and look at ways to improve the environment.  EARTH DAY SPRING CLEAN | Trash Free Trails is asking people to actively do this and report findings to a study they are leading.

Slow Ways  This is a project aiming to link a network of walkable routes across the country.  You can locate any nearby trails near you and perhaps even walk and review some of them.  View their latest map here

East Atlantic Flyway – The UK government this week announced that England’s east wetlands are being put forward as a potential Unesco world heritage site.  The importance of this area known as ‘The East Atlantic Flyway’, that links bird migration routes from the Arctic Circle to southern Africa via western Europe, is explained here.

Cardigan Bay Marine and Wildlife Centre – The Centre has released a short animation based on some of their research about Bottlenosed Dolphins.  It is narrated by Welsh naturalist, TV and radio presenter and author Iolo Williams.
