The RSPB has launched a campaign to encourage spend a night outside in a bid to ‘reconnect children with nature’.  It is asking people to sleep outside this weekend to get closer to nature as part of its Big Wild Sleepout.

RSPB thinks that children these days have too little contact with the natural world and wildlife,  and that this is one of the biggest threats to UK nature.  The Big Wild Sleepout aims to help  families experience the sights and sounds of night-time wildlife and be inspired to help protect it.  Big Wild Sleepout events will be happening across the country on RSPB reserves and partner sites.
