Wiltshire Wildlife Trust launched its Wild Connections project today at its Langford lakes reserve.
This is a three-year project funded by the Heritage Lottery Fund and other donors. It will focus on 15 of the Trust’s nature reserves around the county and Swindon. Wild Connection volunteers can learn conservation skills such as wildlife surveying, coppicing, hedge laying, and fencing. There is also the opportunity to gain recognised qualifications in practical conservation management which will help the Trust carry out habitat enhancement and maintenance, whilst providing individuals with the experience to work towards a career in conservation.
