People up and down the country will be celebrating Love Parks Week, made possible through support from the Big Lottery Fund, with events and activities for all from July 24 – August 2.
As a part of this annual celebration of parks, now in its ninth year, parks around the country will be hosting events and activities throughout the week.
Events range from open-air theatre, to outdoor fitness sessions; children’s activities to garden parties and much more.
The diversity of events mirrors the range of uses our parks are put to through the year, and showcase all the activities that can be enjoyed in green spaces. You can find out what’s going on in your area at www.loveparks.org and add events that they you involved in.
Environmental charity Keep Britain Tidy will be launching Love Parks Week on 24 July with an event at Valentine’s Mansion and Gardens in Ilford, Essex. The event will reflect the range of activities that can be enjoyed in parks and will include something for everyone. Local ‘Friends of’ and community groups will be sharing what they do, and the event will showcase what makes Valentine’s Mansion and Gardens so special.
