In 2021, the UK Schools Sustainability Network took over 20 teenagers from across the UK to COP26. As this isn’t feasible this year, it is hoping that anyone heading to Egypt – or who has contacts there – can pass on the UKSSN’s ‘asks’ of COP27 in general and of the UK delegation.
These are set out in this UKSSN COP27 asks letter, written based on discussions across the networks by a Year 13 pupil who spoke on a panel in the blue zone last year with Professor Ed Hawkins and UK Secretary of State for Education at the launch of UK’s new Climate Education Strategy.
